March 20 - Final announcement
This course has now been transitioned to Blackboard. This website will no longer be used or maintained.
March 11 2020 - Big changes in the works
The University announced yesterday that there will at least two weeks after spring break when classes won't meet in person. This will force some significant changes in this class. We will discuss some of these issues in the last class session berfore spring break and I will disseminate more information about this via email and on this website. In the mean time, please be patient and bear with me while I figure this out.
March 11 2020 - Office hours cancelled
I have cancelled my office hours this week. If you were hoping to speak to me in person, PLEASE get in touch via email. I can be on campus and will have time to meet each of the next two days.
February 29 2020 - Study questions about Functionalism
You might have noticed there are no study questions about Functionalism on the Study Questions document! This was a mistake. Because I made a mistake and because I only caught it a few days before the exam, I am going to include questions about Functionalism on the exam in a way that doesn’t force you to answer any of those questions but gives you some incentive to do so. Full information about this is available here. This document will also be handed out in class on Tuesday March 3.
February 10 2020 - Major update to website
I have tried to get everything put in place up to the mid-term exam. The date for the exam is tentative, but all the notes, readings, study questions, and assignments should now be available. Please don't hesitate to let me know if you run into any problems with the website.
Email the instructor.
February 3 2020 - Change in office hours this week
I need to shift my regular ofice hours back an hour this week to accomodate a meeting. I will be in my office Wednesday February 5 from 1pm to 3pm. As always, if you want to talk about something outside of class and cannot make it to my office hours, don't hesitate to get in touch and we will figure out another time that works for both of us.
